INTERPOL (International Criminal Police Organization)
Criminality has become a global phenomenon in the modern computer age. The tremendous growth in the means of transport and inter-communications has brought in its wake new problems of criminality. Now-a-days escape by air or sea is a common feature resorted to by criminals who operate on an international plane. The dangers of international crime must be faced squarely by all the nations. Therefore, every individual country has its own international agency to tackle the problems of international crime. This agency is familiarly known as ‘INTERPOL’ (International Criminal Police Organization) which concerns itself mainly with the establishment of direct contact with the police forces outside the ordinary channels of diplomacy. The affected country makes a triple request to INTERPOL to seek, hold and deliver the criminals. The International Criminal Police Organization - INTERPOL, with Headquarters in Lyon (France), is the world’s largest international police organization with 194 member countries. It was established in 1923. It enables cross - border Police operation and supports and assets all organizations authorities and survives whose mission is to prevent our combat international crime. The General Secretariat coordinates our day-to-day activities to fight a range of crimes. Run by the Secretary General, it is staffed by both police and civilians and comprises a headquarters in Lyon, a global complex for innovation in Singapore and several satellite offices in different regions. In each country, an INTERPOL National Central Bureau (NCB) provides the central point of contact for the General Secretariat and other NCBs. An NCB is run by national police officials and usually sits in the government ministry responsible for policing. The General Assembly is our governing body and it brings all countries together once a year to take decisions. The 90th General Assembly of Interpol was held in New Delhi from 18th October to 21st October 2022. The General Assembly took place in India after 25 years. Interpol has an objective to facilitate International Police Corporation even where diplomatic relations are not present between certain countries Such organizations like Interpol are working for benefit and security of all the people of the world to promote Interpol and the work they are doing for the whole. One of the best schools in Kullu, La Montessori School is organizing quiz debates etc. for some social information among students. For such overall development of children, it enables that maximum of the students participate in such competitions. Our school focuses not only on Formal education but also on informal information. For e.g. - Interpol gives a lot of knowledge across the world which empower students by their knowledge.
Creative minds of students from our school would join such organization in future. These lead to the holistic development of students. INTERPOL’s Constitution, action is taken within the limits of the laws existing in different countries and in the spirit of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
