National law day or constitution day of India is celebrated on 26th November every year to commemorate the adoption of Constitution of India. It is also known as Samvidhan Diwas. It is celebrated on 26th November because Indian Constitution was enacted by Constituent Assembly on November 26th, 1949 and became effective on January 26th, 1950. National Law Day is celebrated to provide honor to the 207 eminent members of the Constituent Assembly. The Constitution is a set of written principles and precedents of the Government of India. It frames fundamental political principles, procedures, rights, directive principles, restrictions, and duties of the government and the citizens of the country. In 2013 organized a two-day (26th and 27th November) international conference at India International Centre to celebrate the National Law Day. Participants included Hon’ble Judges, Senior Government Officials, and Lawyers of Fortune 500 companies, International and National Law Companies, from the planet. This conference is aimed as to provide safe transport to members and a base for Legal Community related to industrialization. They also discuss on various crucial national and international legal issue. Constitution Day aims to bring awareness about the importance of the Constitution. Dr.BR Ambedkar. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, chairman of the drafting committee, is considered to be the chief architect of the Constitution of India. He is also called the Father of the Indian Constitution. The Constitution of India was drafted by the members of the Constituent Assembly. The Constituent Assembly drafted the Constitution. The 389-member legislature (which was reduced to 299 following India’s partition) worked on the Constitution for over three years, holding eleven sessions over a 165-day period. The Constituent Assembly convened for the first time on December 9, 1946. BR Ambedkar is regarded as the Father of India’s Constitution. 26 November, 1949 is the date on which our Constitution became legally binding. In 1930, the date of January 26 was chosen to announce Purna Swaraj, or complete freedom. On January 24, 1950, the assembly’s final session convened. The constitution was signed by each member twice, once in Hindi and once in English. Prem Behari hand-wrote the original constitution in flowing Italic style, with each page embellished by Shantiniketan painters like as Beohar Rammanohar Sinha and Nandalal Bose. M N Roy first gave the idea of constitution in 1934.It has the world’s longest constitution. It has a Preamble, 22 parts with 448 articles, 12 schedules, 5 appendices, and 115 amendments in its current form. When India became a republic on January 26, 1950, the National Emblem was chosen. We will celebrate National Law day by making students know more about constitution and make them future ready. The basic features of the Indian Constitution are that it the longest constitution which has drawn its articles and principles from various sources including the constitutions of several countries.
